Okay, I got this idea from
She claims she got it from someone else, which is how things work on the net. Plus,
has been poking me to put up more info about myself. So, I thought I would. Oh, I make no claims about having good grammer. Enjoy!
Okay, I think I'll start with a few of the basics.
1. I do watch anime from time to time. Although, I've become pickier about what animes I watch. Some of my favorites are Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and Rurouni Kenshin. I also enjoy watching Inu Yasha and Ranma ½.
2. The only comic book I currently read is Gold Digger. I started reading it in high school and I really started to like the character and the way Fred Perry had handled certain things. So, I've stuck with it.
3. My favorite comic strip is Dilbert, and the short lived TV show was just beautiful.
4. Some of my favorite cartoons as a kid were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Thundercats, G. I Joe, and lets not forget Dungeons and Dragons.
5. As far as TV goes, I don't really watch that much. I do sometimes watch something on Animal Planet, Discovery or the History Channel, but other then that I might watch some hockey and that's about it. This is mainly because I really don't like "reality" TV, and it seems to be everywhere at the moment.
6. Here's a nice random fact. I have really poor vision. I wear contacts to correct the problem, but without them I can only see clearly for a few feet.
7. I wrestled in middle and high school. I mention this because a lot of people have told me that they find that hard to believe, which is mainly because I don't really have an aggressive personality. They say I don't seem the wrestling type, whatever that means.
8. I have also taken a year of Western Martial art, which covered the basics of using several different weapons. It included things like broad sword, staff, rapier, short sword and shield and dual short swords. A year was enough to get just a basic understanding of different moves and foot work, which means I know stuff. Doing stuff in combat is an entirely different matter. I did really enjoy it though. It was an interesting experience.
9. Role Playing! I'm currently involved in a Vampire the Masquerade campaign, which has been a lot of fun. My character is Marius, who is a Gangrel. In the past I have also played the role of a storyteller in different games and systems. In fact, I was once involved in a role playing session that lasted about 19 hours.
10. Okay, here is another weird little fact. I love mint. It doesn't seem to matter what kind either. I love all mint. If the mint happens to be paired with chocolate then that's a big bonus. Mmmm…Mint *runs and gets a starlight mint.*
11. Bowling is another hobby I enjoy. I used to bowl regularly in a league, but now I just enjoy the occasional set. I think my average was like 150 and my high game is 233.
12. I also really like sushi. I don't think I have a favorite at this point. Hmm…Yellow Tail is a strong contender.
13. I don't really use that many condiments. I don't put ketchup on my french fries or my hamburger. I don't really like mayonnaise or mustard. I've had salads, which were without dressing. Other than salt, cheese or soy sauce I don't really put much else on my food.
14. Ahh…yes the title of the opportunist. I'm not sure if I came up with this or my friends did. I think I was accused of taking all mints out of a candy dish over the course of a month. (note #10) The titled continued into sword class when my friends noticed I had a tendency to strike at the front leg or knee, which in my own defense, is a perfectly valid target. Either way, it has become kinda like nickname.
15. I've notice a lot people seem to have a preference between PC or MAC. I've used both and I've gotten use to both of them. I don't really have a preference.
16. Okay, I worked in the seafood department of a store for about 4 and half years. There is one topic that came up a lot, and it became a pet peeve of mine. Farm raised Salmon, which is pronounced samon, is not dyed. The Salmon get their color from the food they eat. Farm raised salmon are given a food that cause them to gain that same color as wild. People have claimed that this chemical is cancer causing. Some studies have supported this, but what they don't tell you is this chemical is measure in parts per billion and is found in a lot of other things. So in a jar of a billion marbles, wild salmon would have one marble, farm raised salmon would have like 5 and beef would have even more. At the same time, both types of Salmon have good levels of Omega 3, which helps with cholesterol. So really, it has become a bit of propaganda. *gets off soap box*
17. In the past I spent way too much money on Magic the Gathering.
18. I've also lost my wallet 3 different times at 3 different places, and I got it back with money every time.
19. I died. It all started because my sister made my Mom laugh when she was calling my work to call me in sick. Apparently, they though it sounded like my Mom was crying. Then someone else mentioned hearing about a shooting, which never happened and the rumor mill was off. By the end of the night, people at work and my one friend all feared that was very much died. They even tried to call different hospitals. Let this stand as a warning about rumors.
20. Finally, everyone has their injury stories. Mine involves an eighty's big wheel and a barbed wire fence. I was riding down my drive way, which was a hill. As if riding toward the street wasn't dangerous enough on the other side was a fence. I only lost control once. I couldn't stop in time and crossed the road and went into the meadow. The only problem was a barbed wire fence separated me from the meadow. A barb struck me in the forehead. It was probably no more then an inch or two from my eye. It ended up ripping open forehead and I had to go and get stitches. I don't really remember it hurting that much, but I do remember getting blood in my eye, which terrified me considering I was like 5.
